We have put together a suggested route for you through the best anchorages in the south of Martinique and Saint Lucia. You will discover all the beauty of this paradisiac destination which will not cease to surprise you.
With Mot & Vil you are in control of your Martinique cruise. You can change your itinerary at any time, stay longer in a place you like, choose the order in which you want to discover these wonderful Caribbean landscapes and of course add the anchorages you want to know.
Note: if you want a hostess / cook on board, this is quite possible. Please let us know in your request.
Welcome aboard !
The day of your arrival, after a refreshing drink, we will head to Sainte-Anne to enjoy the first evening, relax and get to know the crew. This journey will take us about 30 minutes. An aperitif and dinner on board will be offered. A good opportunity to taste the West Indian specialties.
Les Anses d’Arlet, Anse Dufour and Anse Noire
After a good breakfast on board, head for Les Anses d’Arlet, 2 hours away. During this journey we will pass close to the famous Diamond Rock. This calm, very sheltered navigation will be ideal for getting your bearings on board the boat.
You can then fully enjoy your day, and discover the marine ecosystem by diving on site with mask and snorkel fins to discover the sea turtles that inhabit the place. You can also observe in these rich waters, myriads of tropical fish with shimmering colors. A stand-up paddle or kayak ride is a must to take advantage of these magnificent panoramas that await you!
At the end of the day, you can eat on board or ashore and spend the night there.
Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia
We will weigh anchor in the morning to leave on the island of Saint Lucia towards the port of Rodney Bay, we will leave for a navigation of approximately 2:30 hours.
Rodney Bay is very well sheltered, among the possible activities, swimming and basking on the beach! The more active can practice water sports but also hiking and many other land sports.
The village of Rodney Bay is also an ideal place to discover the island, its restaurants, cafes, and to linger in the shops …
Offering clear waters with some of the best diving and snorkeling sites on the island, Anse Cochon is a secluded bay ideal for relaxing; this perfectly calm bay will allow you to enjoy magnificent underwater landscapes.
Take advantage of the kayaks and stand-up paddle to go for a walk around the bay and find the best diving spots.
Soufriere and Jealousy
Direction Soufrière and Jalousie! We will make a navigation of approximately 2 hours.
This small town is located in an idyllic setting, with the Pitons, the sea and the rainforest in the background. Soufriere is a relatively undeveloped, laid-back town south of Saint Lucia.
You will discover the grandeur of the peaks. You can also go to the still active summit of the volcano to enjoy sulfur baths or visit the Diamond Botanical Garden.
The next morning, we will take to the sea in the direction of Marigot Bay. It will take us approximately 1:30 to 2 hours of navigation to reach this little paradise.
Surrounded by hills on three sides, Marigot Bay enjoys perfect sunshine and offers its visitors beautiful white sandy beaches.
A true haven of peace open to the sea. This bay is one of the island’s must-sees. In the evening, you can enjoy the many bars and savor the local cocktails.
Ilet Cabrits and the Bay of Salines Martinique
We are leaving the island of Saint Lucia to reach the south of Martinique and more precisely towards Ilet Cabrit and the famous Salines beach. This navigation will take approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.
You can enjoy the most beautiful beaches of Martinique or visit the savannah of petrifactions which is right next door. We will anchor in the leeward of the islet to be calm.
You will obviously be able to benefit from the equipment on board for stand-up paddling and snorkeling to observe closely all the surrounding aquatic fauna.
You will enjoy some fresh grilled fish for lunch, if the fishing is good. At the end of the afternoon, we will weigh anchor in the direction of Sainte Anne, to admire a new sunset over the Caribbean Sea. This navigation takes about 30 minutes.
The next morning, we will have breakfast at Sainte-Anne. A magnificent beach of turquoise water awaits you. We will anchor around 8:00 am to return to the port of Marin. It will then be time to say goodbye and see you next time.
